 UNICORN STABLES

 SURREY PRICE LIST – EFFECTIVE JUNE 2010 

Board $645 if paid with post dated cheques. 

Cheques must be to the office no later than the 20th of the preceding month.  Cheques may be dated for the 1st of the month in which they are due.

Or $660 per month if not paid in advance.

Board includes: Three daily feeds.Pasture turn-out (seasonal)
One rug or bandage change daily
Use of all facilities
Supervision and safety standards including First Aid trained staff (human and equine) 

Overnight and short term stays are also available:
$25 per day if the client provides the feed
$30 per day if Unicorn provides the feed
Mare care by private arrangement, please call  

Leases 

$255 for 2 days per week

$365 for 3 days per week   

Lessons 

*** There is a $15 late cancel fee (less than 24 hours notice) or a full charge for no shows!

Pay as you go rates: 

Own or Leased Horse:
$65 Private
$55 Semi private
$45 Small Group 

School Horse:
$75 Private
$65 Semi private
$55 Small group  

Monthly Packages
– All cheques may be dated for the 1st of the month in which they are due.  In order to receive discounts, cheques must be in the office no later than the 20th of the preceding month.
 
Anyone booking more than one lesson package per month with receive an additional discount of $20 

Own or Leased Horse - 

If cheque is in the office no later than the 20th of the preceding month:  

A:  One private lesson per week is $250
B:  One semi private per week is $210
C:  One group lesson per week is $170 

If cheque is not in the office by the 20th of the preceding month: 

A:  One private lesson per week is $260
B:  One semi private per week is $220
C:  One group lesson per week is $180 

For our boarders and leasers staying on the package for a full year earns a $100 gift certificate for you, and a $50 gift certificate for you to give to your friends or family. 

School Horse – One lesson per week 

Introductory Package for first time clients only:
$280 for 5 private lessons 

If cheque is in the office no later than the  20th of the preceding month: 

A:  Private lessons are $280
B:  Semi private lessons are $240
C:  Group lessons are $200 

If cheque is not in the office by the 20th of the preceding month 

A:  Private lessons are $300
B:  Semi private lessons are $250
C:  Group lessons are $215 

For our lesson students – Staying on a package for a full year earns a $55 gift certificate for you, and a $50 gift certificate for you to give to your friends or family.  

Practice Rides  

Single practice ride - $55     

Coaching at Horse Shows 

$45 per phase or $115 for the weekend 

Lessons on warm up day may be a make up lesson, your regular weekly lesson, or you may book a lesson at our regular rates. 

Trailering 

Under 100 km - $75  (MREC, Campbell Valley)
100 km – 250km - $135  (Island 22, Whidbey Island)
Over 250km - $250  (Johvale, Chase Creek) 
Trips involving the ferry will be based on ferry costs. 
All prices are for return trips and presume a full trailer. 

Payment is due upon booking or close of entries and is non-refundable unless the client finds a replacement. 

Small Trailer Rental 
$50 per day
$125 per weekend 

Other Services 

Unicorn offers a variety of equine related services.  If what you need is not listed, give us a call and we will be happy to give you a quote.

Training rides - $65 

Clipping:

Full (excluding legs) $150
Trace $100
Neck/Shoulder $80 

Birthday Parties $30 per child

If you require a Unicorn staff member to hold your horse during a vet or farrier visit, the rate is $40 per 30 minuet increment. 
Likewise, any time spent with a Unicorn staff member learning a procedure such as saddle fitting, facilities management or other horse-related issue is billed at $40 per 30 minute increments. 

Horse Purchase or Sale Consultation: 

Option 1 – Commission
12% on the purchase or sale price of the horse

Option 2 – Flat Fee
$275 for each horse evaluated plus expenses. 

Mileage is calculated at .60 per kilometer. In general, the option less costly to the client is used.
